INFORMATION: The Papillio line licensed by the
Birkenstock sandal Almeria
is based on the Birkenstock sandal
footbed and is known as the FASHION LINE or the COLORFUL
LINE. The footbed is slightly flared on the outside of the
heel, thereby, adding more strength to the heel area and
a slightly larger heel footprint lending itself to more
stability. Papillio has 2 existing production facilities
in Germany. The footbed is produced in Steinau (East Germany)
the upper material is produced in Bernstadt East Germany
and the mounting takes place in Str?t West Germany Because
Papillio footwear is made mostly of Birko-Flor, a synthetic
material, they are able to produce footwear in bright and
colorful patterns and designs and for a reasonable price.
Papillio is therefore a unique line as these patterns cannot
be made on leather products in these dimensions. Other sexy
Birkenstock sandals
include the Fuji
and the Nias.
They are however able to treat leather items with decorations
like crystals.90% of the Papillio line is made of Birko-Flor.
The remainder is leather, EVA or synthetic material. Plans
are being made however, to increase the availability of
Papillio styles in leather. Papillio caters mostly to women
with plans to extend their men's line. Some children's styles
are available with plans to expand as well. In most cases,
first time Papillio wearers may require a break-in period.
As the footbed is made anatomically correct (including toe
bar, metatarsal support and heel cup), it is firm and may
cause some discomfort until the foot becomes accustomed
to its new surroundings. We suggest wearing the footwear
for a few hours a day to start. Did you know that if you
injure your heel from using bad shoe, that they could keep
reinjuring and lead to tendinitis in the heel? Do you ever
feel a pain in the back above your heel where that little
cord is? It might not go away on it's own. Proper footwear
can cause and sometimes fix this problem. A night splint
and rest to the foot are other supporting actions you can
take, along with a quick trip to your local Podiatrist for
a proper diagnosis. It can take a month or more for your
feet to recover, so begin with good support as soon as possible.
No matter what happens with your feet, do not ignore the
problem. Rest, proper support in footwear, and sometimes
a podiatry visit are easy and quick ways to keep a little
problem from becoming a lifelong one. Many times, the Birkenstock
Almeria and other styles can help with the solution.

to improper shoes as well.
Simple changes in life habits can save expensive foot surgery
