Functionality is a top priority with Birkenstock clogs.
These are meant to be worn and therefore must be well crafted
and versatile. It is for this reason, that Birki has always
been committed to making functional Birkenstock sandals
and Birkenstock
clogs. The current collection is no exception.
The new leather Birkenstock licensed Birki Shetland clog
licensed by Birkenstock has back folding straps so that
it can be worn with or without a heel strap. It goes without
saying that all of birki's sandals and clogs have an anatomically
designed footbed, making them as comfortable as they are
fashionable. Like all Birki footbeds, our new product development,
the Birkenstock soft footbed, is anatomically formed and
molded on the natural form of the foot. The specialty of
the soft footbed is a specific latex cushion between the
upper and lower jute layer. This cushion lends it's stabilizing,
soft and adaptable qualities to the soft footbed.
The foot lies on a suede leather cover, which absorbs humidity
and prevents sliding out of the shoe. Below the suede cover
there's a first jute layer in which rising humidity is repelled.
This jute layer is an extremely absorbent webbing and laid
around the bedding edge. Thus on the one hand is an important
contribution to the optimum foot climate is performed and
on the other hand the flexibility of the footbed is enhanced.
The highlight of the soft footbed is a long term elastic
cushion which stays in it's form even after frequent use
and frequent carrying. The cushion lends pleasant comfort
and always recovers after every step. The soft footbed is
followed by another, second jute layer to stabilize the
bedding. Last but not least, the sole is made of elastic
and long-lasting EVA.
